A 41-year-old Cobourg man faces multiple charges after police arrest as part of the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project.

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., as part of the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project, members of the Cobourg Police Service on patrol in the area of King Street East and McGill Street observed a man wanted for theft and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police arrested the man and, upon arrest, located two knives, approximately 47.5 grams of Fentanyl, Pills, and Canadian Currency. As a result of the investigation, David Munn (41) of Cobourg was charged with the following offences:

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl) for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Hydromorphone) for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Schedule V Substance (Clonazepam) for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
