A 26-year-old Cobourg woman is facing charges after police responded to a trespassing call on Monday afternoon.

On Monday, February 24, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., police received a report of trespassing at a residential building in the area of Spencer Street and Division Street in Cobourg.

Upon arrival, police located an individual who was currently wanted on outstanding warrants with the Cobourg Police Service.

As a result of the police investigation, a 26-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested. Upon arrest, police located approximately 7.5 grams of suspected cocaine. The accused was charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance, and two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation. The accused was held for a bail hearing.


A 46-year-old Cobourg man has been arrested in a fraud investigation.

In July 2024, police opened a fraud investigation after an individual fraudulently cashed a cheque at a local financial institution. Police identified a suspect, and a warrant was sought for their arrest.

On Monday, February 24, 2025, police on general patrol observed the individual on an outstanding warrant. As a result of the investigation, the 46-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with Make Forged Document, Use Forged Document, Drawing Document without Authority, Fraud Under $5,000, Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime under $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Probation. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
