On October 3rd, 2024, at 1:02 am, Police conducted a traffic stop on Elgin Street West, for a vehicle being operated without rear lights. Police spoke to the 31-year-old male driver from Victoria Harbour, detecting a strong odour of alcohol emanating from his breath. The male subsequently failed a roadside screening device.
The male was arrested and transported to the Cobourg Police Service and as a result of the investigation, he was charged with the following offences:

Drive Without Proper Rear Lights
2.
Driver Fail to Surrender License
3.
Operating with over 80 mgs of alcohol.
The accused was released when sober with with a future court date.
