COBOURG (November 27, 2024) — On Sunday, November 24, 2024, Cobourg Police Service (CPS) joined Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank, The Giving Tree, and Port Hope Police Service Auxiliary members to run the holiday Cram-A-Cruiser food and toy drive at Walmart, Metro, and No Frills in Cobourg. With the help of a very generous community, 6,134 pounds of food and $6,332 were collected to support Fare Share, as well as 321 toys and gift cards going to The Giving Tree.
All of the donations received this past weekend during the holiday Cram-A-Cruiser event are allocated to the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank and to Giving Tree, who, in turn, distribute the food and gifts to families and individuals across Northumberland County for the holidays.
CPS would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the community for this outpouring of generosity. Special thanks to Walmart, Metro, and No Frills for providing their locations and staff support.

Toy and gift card donations to the Giving Tree can be dropped off at the center court of Northumberland Mall on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until December 8th. Donations can also be dropped off at Salvation Army Church, 59 Ballantine Street in Cobourg, on weekdays, between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm.
