A 48-year-old Cobourg man is facing impaired charges after police conducted a traffic stop early Friday morning.
On Friday, November 1, 2024, at approximately 3:05 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Spring Street after observing a vehicle driving erratically.
Police observed signs of impairment, and the driver was arrested.
Further, police observed fresh damage to the front end of the vehicle and located a parked car with fresh damage not far from the location of the traffic stop.
As a result of the police investigation, the driver, a 48-year-old Cobourg man was charged with
- Impaired Operation
- Impaired Operation Over 80
- Fail to Stop After Accident
- Drive Motor Vehicle No Validation on Plate
The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
