Our Auxiliary Officers greatly support safety in our community, from CPTED audits to Lock It or Lose It campaigns, community events and more. We thought we’d take the opportunity to introduce some of our current Auxiliary members.

Meet Auxiliary Police Constable Jayda Curr!

Jayda graduated from the Protection, Security and Investigations program at Durham College in 2020 and is completing a bachelor’s degree at Laurentian University in the Criminology and Justice program while employed at Ontario Power Generation as a Nuclear Security Officer. Jayda has multiple certificates providing education on Autism Spectrum Awareness and Mental Health First Responders Awareness, to mention a few. She decided to apply to the Cobourg Police Service’s Auxiliary Program because she loves to not only give back to the community and help others but enjoys gaining new skills and knowledge. In the future, her dream is to specialize in and assist individuals suffering from mental health and addictions.

Right now, until November 17th, 2023, our applications for Auxiliary Recruitment are open! If you are interested in joining our Auxiliary division, please apply via the link here: cobourgpoliceservice.com/auxiliary-members/
